Things you must do in Japan

Japan is the land of mixed metaphors, gadget heaven, and of course.. Tokyo Fashion.

  1. Take a Bullet Train
  2. Take any train during rush hour
  3. Buy yourself a Ramen/Katsu-don/Curry Rice at a hawker stall or small shoplet
  4. Try Shabu-Shabu if you've never tried it
  5. Visit the wonderful temples
  6. Visit a hot spring
  7. Sit in a coffee shop and watch the world go by

Tokyo

Vibrant City - buzzing with life

Places to visit would include:

  1. Cross the road in Shibuya
  2. Visit Electric City
  3. Visit Sensoji (Asakusa Kannon Temple) in Asakusa

Restaurants

You're going to have to forgive me but as all the restaurant cards are written in Japanese.... I'm scanning their details in rather than fail at transliterating.

No 1 : Tempura Restaurant [Thank you Suwabe-san for the great introduction]

These are also a great selection for a good mix of Japanese food

Hotels

  • Cerulean Hotel, 26-1 Sakura-gaoka-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-8512, Japan. (T:+81-3-3476-3000, F:+81-3-3476-3001). 1st Class hotel. In Shibuya (arguably one of the most happening places in town). Can't fault it. Highly recommended.
  • Le Meridien, 2-6-1 Daiba, Minato-Ku, Tokyo 135-8701, Japan (T: +81 (3) 5500 6711). Too far away. Can't really recommend it unless your business is in the Daiba area.

 Bars

  • BelloVisto, This is the bar in the Cerulean hotel. I've not been to any others yet. ;-)
